Truly incredible. This book, broke my heart, cheered me and taught me to remember. We need to remember this time in history so we do not repeat it. This story is incredible and to make even more so, it is a true story. To top it off they, the three sisters knew Lale and Gita from "The Tattooist of Auschwitz" It's important with this book to read the Author's notes, the afterwards, and see the pictures that are included.
Heather Morris has done a great job with all three of these books. What will she write next ??
So many times reading this story tears filled my eyes. This was a story of so much pain and perseverance. How did they do it ?? How did others treat people like this ??
What is also hard to see, in some countries they went from Dictator Hitler to the dictator Stalin. Trading one bad guy for another. Reading about counties ruled by Stalin were worse. Communism.
Very moving book.
