The Therapist

4/5
I love her book, Behind Closed Doors, this one is not as good but still enjoyable.

The setting and characters are all different yet somewhat the same. I guessed most of it but not all. It kept me interested, there was a point I was hoping she would move it along a bit more.

I think some of the preconceived notions are what make you, rethink a few things. The fact that so many thing go on that no one knows about speaks a bit about the characters.

The Stranger in the Mirror

4/5
This was a ride, wow.

I didn't know what to expect from this book. I have not read from these authors before but, I will read more of theirs.

I was drawn in from the beginning, it was not a fast passed book, but the more of the suspense that kept you going. What happened ?? Is something you want to know and boy did they deliver. Our main character looses her memories but there are plenty more going on then meets the eye. They gave us the backstory of our heroine and was mind blown. It went there.

The character were just on point. Loved Ed and Gigi. The characters kept you guessing to the end.

I was truly surprised by this one. It went beyond anything I was expecting. A good read with a few surprise's that leave you with you jaw dropped.

Such A Quiet Place

3/5

This is not one of her best. I was truly disappointed.

Nothing happens till the end of the book and it's not that big of a twist or turn. I had it figured out pretty easily. I did not like any of these characters. The all seemed just flat and unlikeable which I am sure is the point but you would think the main character would be different.

I took some time to read this one as it dragged. I did get the message of the book and how sometimes people are to quick to jump on a band wagon, this was just was not that great. Hopefully her next one will be better.

The Guilt Trip

3.5 rounded up

This was a nice easy read. Not much really happens till the end, but it kinda grabs you and you wonder thru out the book, did she or didn't she ?? Did they or didn't they ??

It did keep my attention, and I found it to be an enjoyable read. The characters are somewhat relatable, and different.

The Fiancee

Rounded up to 3.5

This book turned out better then I was expecting. I have such negative reviews, but thought the book better then the reviews.

It’s a slow burner but solid. Has your red herring and a twit or two that was Interesting.

The low rating ?? It took awhile to get into the book and nothing really happens until at least half way.

Still a solid book. Will read more from this author.

The Wife Upstairs

5/5

Now that’s an ending. I have to say I really liked this book.
The characters, ah, what can be said of them ?? You probably know one or two of these types of characters. And still some mind blowing pasts to our main ones. Jane, Bea, and Eddie.

First book I read by her and won’t be the last. Quick enough read with some twists you can expect but still like. Has the Jane Eyre feel mixed with some really messed up people.

Loved the southern parts and settings. I’m not from bama but I know about the Roll Tide. Have to say the Southern Manors sounds interesting and fun.

In true fashion this book also reminded me of my age when Jane talked about her 53 yr old mom. And Jane herself was born in 1985.

Still I enjoyed the book more then I thought I would. Pleasantly surprised by this one.

Points for Piggly Wiggly and the ‘blue box macaroni and cheese’.

The Paris Library

3/5
This one was another hard one to judge. I was expecting more action of saving book then the drama of the librarian.

First and foremost, Sign Language is a lot more then ‘just pointing at things’. It is a language just like French or Spanish. Author should have know this. I felt is offense as she insulted a whole sect of people who sign.

I liked most of the characters and some I did not. I did like the women had some of the more leading roles.

The action what there was if it did not take place till the second half of the book. Along with Lilly as to why she was necessary to the story. I did not like how Odil left things in Paris. She was wrong to do things the way she did. As a parent I felt for hers.

It was an ok book, I just expected something different.
