The Other Woman

Round up to 3.5
This book was not bad. It was a pretty quick read. As I was reading I once again was thinking how not smart the main character, Emily, was throughout the story. There were so many red flags when it came to Adam. Emily just ignores them and the good advice from her friends. It seemed to me that the relationship was not as it seemed. I just kept thinking she needs to wake up and smell the coffee.

I did for the most part figure out the twist and the ending. I liked how finally everyone’s true nature was shown.

I think the story was interesting and moved along very well

The Whisper Man

Holy moly !!! I had great expectations for this book and wow did this book deliver. This is one excellent book. Had all the great things needed for a suspense thriller. I was turning page after page. Characters were good. Loved all the twists, turns, and oh wow moments. Loved how all the loose ends were tied up in a bow with sparkles. I with out a doubt enjoyed this book and appreciated all the work that went into writing this book. Definitely recommend. Will be reading his next one.

The Light We Lost

II give it 3.5 stars

I am not sure where to begin. The main character Lucy seems to make some really odd choices. This causes herself more pain then needed. Gabe just seemed really selfish.

The story was relatable. It’s a good story just not one that’s over the top. I remember 9/11 and tho it effected me, it did not effect me that same same as Lucy and Gabe. I do believe that here are those that enter our life and for better or worse change us. The same can be said for events. The ending was sad but left you hanging a bit.

It brought back memories for me. That’s why the extra half star.

They Lying Game

3/5

This book was not all bad, but good grief you could play a drinking game on how many times the author used the word breast. First few times, yeah, I get it but it was way to many and most annoying. It was understood she was breastfeeding without saying it so much. Then there is the scene where Isa and her boyfriend have the huge fight about her smoking one cigarette, it was not at the same time as she took her child to latch on to her breast, but before. Isa of course felt so guilty that she cried and did not want baby to smell smoke when she took her to her breast. However, she had no problem consuming alcohol, even gets drunk, knowing she is breastfeeding her child. One scene she is actually drinking a few glasses of wine in a Pub as she whips out her breast to feed. The same can be said with the caffeine.
The story itself was not to bad, I did like the different cultured characters. Isa herself did not impress me. She's a lawyer, yet she ain't the brightest crayon in the box. The baby did not add to this story. Not sure what the point was to having added to her. I did figure it out, before it was revealed who did what and why. Some questions were never answered tho, and it is left of to the reader to decide.
I had hope for this book. I had planned on reading her other books, now I am not sure if I will. This is the second one I have read of hers and was expecting a lot more.

Final Girls

3.5 stars
If the author wanted to provoke your feelings, she did a good job. Tho the feelings she evoked from me were how much I thought the main character lacked common sense and how stupid she is. I did not like our main character that much to say the least, but in the end she pulled herself together, and thru sheer luck or destiny it paid off.
I did like the twist in the end, that was what had me give this book as high a rating it had. I thought there was much more that could have been done with the plot idea, and i was expecting more. I did like a lot of the ending, the plot twist, the who done it, and the fact you did not see some of it coming. Maybe the next one will be better.
